The Black Tentacle
The Black Tentacle is the story of two old friends.
It is a story of isolation and joyful reunion.
The young tentacle moves through life
But as the years wear on pain arrives.
Pain of an abusive childhood
Pain of witnessing family members suffer
Pain of wrong paths in life
Pain of homelessness
Pains of age
Pain of immense talent, never fully shared with the world
The pain of a human being
Beaten down the tentacle surrenders and with one last defiant roar
Slips down into the dark abyss
The black void
Never to be seen
For 25 years
Dead but dreaming…
There is only one thing that can save the tentacle
The guitar of the boy
Traveling deep into the Aeolian Dimension of sadness
The boy searches
He calls out with his guitar in Dorian
The native language of the tentacle
Hearing the call of the boys guitar
The tentacle awakens
Then answers the call
Reunited
They dance joyously
And throw down sick ass
Funk fusion riffs
As usual they get entirely carried away
And shatter the dark abyss
Howling with fury the demon guardians of the Void
Charge forth to devour them
As it was in the days of their youth
The boy and the tentacle run from popo
Beginning their final frenzied chromatic climb out of the void
They hurl ever increasing amounts of pounding drums
At the Demons crushing them like
Cheap Halloween decorations
They climb out of the darkness into the light
